China has intensified its push to sell the fifth-generation J-35 fighter abroad, showcasing the aircraft at international events and targeting especially the Asia-Pacific market.
However, military analysts believe the model will face strong competition, particularly from the American F-35, as well as from more affordable options available on the global market.

Experts point out that purchasing decisions will not depend solely on the jet’s technical capabilities. Political considerations, strategic alignments, and economic conditions are also expected to influence interested countries, potentially limiting the number of buyers for the Chinese aircraft.

During this year’s Singapore Airshow, China displayed a half-scale model of the J-35A, the version intended for the air force. The exhibition was organized by the China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation, representing AVIC, the country’s largest military aerospace company.
Developed over more than a decade by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, the J-35A was officially inducted into the People’s Liberation Army last year after taking part in a parade marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Since then, Beijing has expanded promotion of the fighter at major international defense exhibitions, including those in Paris and Dubai, in an effort to secure a foothold in the highly competitive global defense market.
